Privacy statement

Robo Charge provides a modern platform around ev users. Everything concerning the use and management around charge points and charge cards is supported by the platform. Think of management, configuration, invoicing, reporting etc. The platform continuously tests itself and the charge points in the network, so that any issues are detected earlier and automatically resolved if possible.

In order to help you properly at all times, we sometimes need information from you. We find it important that you know that we handle your data with care. Therefore we explain in this privacy statement why and how we process your personal data.

1. Who are we:

We are Robo Charge B.V.: Dutch service provider around ev users, located at Van Heemstraweg 123 in Druten, The Netherlands. Robo Charge is responsible for the collection and use of your personal data as described in this privacy statement.

2. What personal data do we process?

2.1. General

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

a. Name and other identifying information

For example, we may record your name, gender, date of birth, nationality and country of residence.

b. Contact information and information about your personal account or registration

Your contact information may include your address, phone number and email address. If you register for a particular service and/or create an account in the Portal, we may also capture the login details and other information you enter on the account or registration form.

c. Information about your charging stations, charging cards and usage data

When you register a charging station or apply for a charging card, we process only the personal data necessary for this purpose, for example to send your charging card. Furthermore, we process information regarding the use of the charging stations, e.g. your charging sessions. Also in relation to additional services and products you purchase.

d. Our communications with you

If you send us an email or chat with us via social media or online, we record these communications. If you call us, the Robo Charge Contact Center records your questions or complaints in our database. We may also record phone calls for training purposes, appointment scheduling or to prevent or combat fraud.

e. Information we collect when you use our websites, apps and other digital media

- When you visit our websites, portal or use our apps, we may record your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring website, browsing habits and app usage. We may receive automatic notification when you open a newsletter or click on a link in such newsletter.

- With your permission, we may also receive your location information.

f. Information you share with us

You may choose to share information with us, for example, when you interact with us on Facebook, complete a customer survey or enter a contest.

3. Special and/or sensitive personal data we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are under 18 years of age. Unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 18. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children's online activities in order to avoid collecting data about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without such consent, please contact us at support@robo-charge.com, and we will delete this information.

4. For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data

Robo Charge processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Processing your payment
    (In doing so, Robo Charge uses trusted third-party providers Mollie and Jortt)

  • Send you our mailings

  • To be able to call or email you as necessary to perform our services

  • To inform you of changes to our services and products

  • To provide you with the ability to create an account

  • To deliver goods to you.

  • To provide services to you.

5. Automated decision-making

Robo Charge makes decisions about things that can (significantly) affect individuals on the basis of automated processing. These are decisions that are made by computer programs or systems, without a person (e.g. an employee of Robo Charge) being involved. Robo Charge Portal controls data flows so that you can charge into the network or that charging can be done through the network. To do this as well as possible, we need data from you.

6. How long we keep personal data

Robo Charge does not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which your data is collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data: Personal data we receive after you have registered with us will be kept for as long as you have an account with us. You have an account if you use a charge post or charge card agreement from Robo Charge. If the account is cancelled we wait 6 months before deleting the data. This period is necessary because operators can still charge sessions up to 3 months after the date. Data through our social media channels we keep up to 24 months. Data recorded through the website we keep for a maximum of 48 months.

7. Sharing personal data with third parties

Robo Charge does not sell your data to third parties and only provides them if necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processor agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data.

8. Cookies, or similar techniques, we use

We use different types of cookies on Robo Charge's website and apps. The type of cookies used may vary from app to app. Further, a cookie may also have multiple purposes.

  • Necessary cookies:These cookies are essential for you to visit our websites and apps and to use certain parts of them. For example, these cookies allow you to navigate between different parts of the websites and apps, fill in forms, place orders and keep track of the contents of your shopping cart.

  • Analytical-Cookies:we use analytical cookies to collect information about the use visitors make of our websites and apps (pages visited, average length of visit, etc.) with the intention of improving the content of our websites and apps, adapting them more to the needs of visitors and increasing the ease of use of our websites and apps.

  • Advertising cookies:advertising cookies collect information about your browsing behavior with the aim of offering you advertising or content that falls into your sphere of interest: Cookies for remarketing. The Robo Charge websites/apps use cookies that track what products or services you may be interested in based on the pages you visit on this website/app.

  • Cookies for 3rd party content. In addition to the cookies Robo Charge sets when you visit our websites, third parties may also set cookies when you visit Robo Charge sites. Indeed, our web pages may contain third-party content, such as videos (Youtube), sound fragments (Soundcloud), ... news content.

This processing is based on your consent. If you wish to withdraw your consent, you can do so via the cookie manager.

9. Viewing, correcting or deleting data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You can do this yourself through the personal settings of your account. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your possible consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by our company and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organization named by you. Would you like to exercise your right to object and/or right to data portability or do you have other questions/comments about the data processing, please send a specified request to support@robo-charge.com.

To make sure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. Robo Charge will respond to your request as soon as possible, but in any case within four weeks. Robo Charge would also like to point out that you have the possibility to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Authority for Personal Data. 10. How we secure personal data

Robo Charge takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to protect against misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized alteration.
